As a Clubhouse Janitor for Del Paso Country Club, you will be required to take care of the facilities and carry out cleaning and light maintenance duties.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Clean, dust and/or polish furniture and fixtures, windows, glass partitions, mirrors, walls, machines and equipment
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, fitness/pool center, building facilities
  • Stocks facilities with paper and supplies
  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to property and injury
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets upon request
  • Cleans all air vents weekly
  • Gather and empty trash containers
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
  • Ensure that the cleanliness standards of all areas are maintained
  • Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Maintain janitor closets stocked, clean, and organized
  • Perform proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals product used
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, sanitation and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and ability to utilize a ladder as needed
  • Respond to service requests, coordinate resources and implement the set up and take down of furniture and equipment as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred;
  • At least one year of janitorial, building maintenance or related experience;
  • Ability to manage material resources and time, and to work independently and as a team.
  • Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment including what is used in janitorial services;
  • Ability to communicate effectively; to present information and respond to questions from manager and others; and to escalate matters appropriately;
  • Human relations skills to build effective working relationships;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and schedule;
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common sense skills;

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Standing, and/or walking (75-80%)
  • Bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, stooping (25-30%)
  • May lift boxes or equipment (up to 50 pounds) with or without assistance (10-15%)
  • Grasping objects such as spray bottles, brushes, duster, towels, bins (75-80%)
  • Climbing stairs/standing on platforms (ladders, step stools, rolling stairs) (10-25%)
  • Noise Exposure to equipment in a maintenance and janitorial environment
  • Occasional exposure to cold or heat in outdoor conditions

SCHEDULE Full time Employee (Night Shift) - must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed. We are looking for someone who is willing to work the following schedule:

Thursday - Monday 8:00 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.

Tuesday and Wednesday - OFF
